Assesor qualification
NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work
environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment)
The objective of this qualification is to provide the essential knowledge and understanding that assessment staff need and offer additional units that describe competent practice. This approach gives flexibility and a greater potential to meet the needs of aspiring Assessors
To be awarded the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, learners are required to successfully complete all 3 mandatory units
To achieve the NCFE Level 3 Qualifications for Assessors, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes of the units as detailed in this qualification specification
This qualification is designed for learners aged 19 and above.
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification, however learners must hold a recognised qualification at an appropriate level for the level of qualification they will be assessing. For example, to assess level 3 learners you must hold at least a level 3 qualification in the vocation you are assessing.
Course Delivery, Assessment and Duration
The course will last for approximately 3-6 months. Learners will be allocated an Assessor from our Assessment Team who will plan and carry out work-based assessment to build a portfolio of evidence. Learners are required to complete online assignments to build their portfolio alongside workplace assessment.
