We have been researching cognitive and literacy development theories and information about phonics.

One of the theorists we have been researching this week is Jean Piaget. Piaget believed that learning through trial and error enhances a child’s cognitive abilities. He also believed that cognitive skills that are related to a child’s reading and writing abilities may be developed through make believe.

Ofsted grade

Congratulations to West Berkshire Training Consortium for their fantastic Ofsted report.

Working with them as a main subcontractor it was lovely to get a mention “Training consultants prepare apprentices admirably for their final assessments and as a result high proportions gain distinction grades. Most carry on with their employer after completing their apprenticeships with a substantial proportion achieving promotion, increased pay and increased responsibility as a result of their learning.”

Well done to the Tigers Training Centre team for helping to achieve this fantastic result.
